Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We've got answers. Here's what you need to know about using LendNavigator to research loans, rates and financial products.

LendNavigator is free for users. We may receive compensation from some of the lenders and partners listed on our site when you click on their links or are approved for an offer. This helps us operate the platform, but it does not change the information you see or increase the rate you pay.

No. LendNavigator is an independent comparison and research platform. We do not issue loans, credit cards or insurance policies, and we do not make approval decisions. When you apply, you do so directly with the bank, lender or provider.

Yes. Our rate trends and reference data are powered by trusted sources such as the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRED) and other financial data providers. Individual offers you receive from lenders can differ based on your credit profile, location, loan amount and other factors.

Update frequency depends on the data source. Some data (such as central bank rates) is updated whenever new official releases are published, while other product data is refreshed on a scheduled basis. We work to keep information reasonably current, but it may not always be real-time.

Checking rates or using our calculators on LendNavigator does not affect your credit score. However, when you submit a full application with a specific lender, they may perform a hard credit inquiry, which can temporarily lower your score by a few points.

Lenders price loans using many inputs: your credit score, income, debts, collateral, property type, location and more. The examples and ranges shown on LendNavigator are for comparison and education. Your final rate is always determined by the lender based on your full application.

Our calculators provide estimates based on standard financial formulas. Your actual loan terms and payments may vary depending on the lender and your specific financial situation. Use the results as a planning tool, not as a guaranteed offer.

LendNavigator does not collect sensitive personal identifiers such as Social Security numbers directly on our comparison pages. When you choose to apply, you are redirected to the lender's own secure website to provide your information. We recommend reviewing each lender's privacy policy before submitting an application.

No. The information and tools on LendNavigator are for educational and comparison purposes only and should not be considered financial, legal or tax advice. Your situation may be unique, so you may want to speak with a qualified professional before making major financial decisions.
