Disclosures & Methodology

How LendNavigator sources data, ranks products, works with partners, and presents information on our site.

Effective date: January 6, 2026

Last updated: January 6, 2026

Why this matters

  • We explain how data is sourced and how results are shown.
  • We disclose compensation/affiliate relationships and labeling rules.
  • We clarify limitations: rates change, not all products are covered, results may be estimates.

1. Purpose

This page explains how LendNavigator collects and presents information, how we may be compensated, and what limitations apply to the data and tools on our site.

2. What We Are (and Are Not)

LendNavigator is an independent comparison and educational platform. We are not a bank, lender, credit union, broker, or financial advisor, and we do not issue loans or make approval decisions. Providers determine final eligibility, rates, and terms.

3. Data Sources & Update Frequency

We may source information from:

  • Publicly available provider websites and disclosures
  • Third-party data vendors/APIs
  • Direct partner feeds (where available)
  • Editorial research and verification processes

We aim to keep information reasonably current, but not all data is real-time. The actual offer you receive may differ at the moment you apply. “As of” timestamps may be shown where available.

4. Definitions & Assumptions

  • APR/APY: Provided by the issuer/provider; may exclude conditions you don’t meet.
  • Estimates: Calculator outputs are examples based on assumptions.
  • Fees/terms: Some fees may not be captured in summary fields; verify with provider.

5. How We Rank / Display Results

We may sort or filter results using objective factors (e.g., rate ranges, fees, product features, availability, customer eligibility assumptions, and user-selected preferences).

Important: In some cases, compensation may affect placement or prominence. When it does, we label placements (see “Sponsored / Paid Placement” below). We strive to avoid misleading presentations and encourage you to compare multiple sources.

6. How We Make Money

LendNavigator may earn money through affiliate relationships, referral fees, advertising, or sponsored placements with certain providers. Compensation does not change a provider’s underlying offer terms.

7. Editorial Independence

We aim to separate editorial decisions from commercial relationships. Editorial content is created to inform users, and commercial arrangements should not dictate factual claims.

Where applicable, we label paid placements as “Sponsored” (or similar). Users should treat sponsored placements as advertising and verify details directly with the provider.

9. Mortgage Comparison Note

Mortgage and settlement-service shopping can be subject to additional rules. We aim to present information neutrally and avoid practices that could be interpreted as steering consumers based on payments. If we run paid placements in this category, we intend to label them clearly and maintain neutral presentation standards.

10. Coverage & Limitations

We do not include every financial institution or product in the market. Listings may be limited by data availability, integration constraints, eligibility rules, or commercial relationships. You should compare offers from multiple sources.

11. Corrections & Feedback

If you believe information is inaccurate or outdated, please contact us. We may update data, correct errors, or add clarifications, and we will reflect material changes via the “Last updated” date.

12. Trademarks & Brand Names

Product names, logos, and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Their use does not imply endorsement or affiliation unless explicitly stated.
